LMU Productions

Currently as a Sophomore Film and Television Production, Archer is working on three separately assigned 3-minute short films, an Avant Garde, a Documentary, and a Narrative.

Application Film

“The Button” is Archer’s application to LMU. The first film he made, shot on an iphone with his best friend behind the camera. It showcases his early interest in metaphysical worlds, and explores an alternate timeline of his life. When Archer was a baby, his father had a heart attack on a trail and was in a coma for five days. The doctors told his mother he had little chance of survival, but he is still around today, perfectly healthy. The film takes place in a world where his  father did not make it, and he is processing his grief when he discovers a magic button that gives him the chance to start his life over.

pop the question

“Pop the Question” is the first film Archer wrote and directed at LMU. It’s a funny, lighthearted story about the nerves that come with asking the biggest question you can ever ask anyone, to be with you for the rest of your life.

Through The Blinds

“Through the Blinds,” written and produced by Archer Elliot, is the second film he made in Prod 101. It is focused on the emotions of anticipation and anxiety, while ultimately showcasing flaws in our justice system.

Practice

“Practice” is Archer’s first Avant Garde film, made in his sophomore year at LMU. It uses found footage to showcase the insecurity, confidence, frustration, and perseverance that are part of learning and sticking with an instrument.
